It's new- It's exciting- It's a little intimidating- It's DVD.
Can anyone actually agree what DVD stands for?- nope, but everyone agrees it's an incredible format that takes the place of VHS, CD-ROM, and Audio CD.

| DVDs can hold up to 2 hrs of video (even more at lower compression rates), multiple video "angles", multiple soundtracks, multiple subtitles, animated menus, and incredible video quality and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound

If you are even thinking about making VHS copies of your latest video-
please don't.
Really.
You're hurting my feelings.
After you've spent all your time and money shooting gorgeous pictures, carefully editing them into a melodic flow of brilliant content, and adding just the right graphics, why would you want to do that?
Making that VHS dub is like taking an Ansel Adams masterpiece and printing it on newsprint. Yeah, you can still see it, but all the subtlety, all the nuance, all the MAGIC is gone.

Why do that to your video?
|
Although VHS players are more commonplace now, that is rapidly changing. DVDs can be played on both computers and TVs- making them a better choice for business deployment. As the prices for DVD players have dropped, their numbers have exploded. Don't believe me? Walk into Blockbuster sometime. Watch the DVD titles take over shelf space from VHS on a daily basis.
An order for 1000 DVDs (2 hrs of video, multiple languages, etc.), including 3-color printing can cost as low as $1.60 each.

What's stopping you now?
Apple's brilliant new software, DVD Studio Pro allows me to transfer your video to DVD, add menus, create chapters, weblinks, and do anything other higher priced systems can do. Using my expertise in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, I can produce beautiful menu backgrounds that create a cohesively designed look for your finished piece.
Many people can take your video, encode it, create some buttons and menus and produce a serviceable DVD. With my background in editing, graphics and design I believe I can produce an aesthetic that matches the content of your work, and is appropriate for your audience.
